IHG Hotels & Resorts launches Apple AirPlay in North American Hotels

Today, global hospitality leader IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) launches AirPlay in the first phase of hotel rooms, giving guests the ability to stream content privately and securely from their iPhone or iPad to the TV in their guest rooms. AirPlay is available at more than 60 hotels in North America, including properties like InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta, Hotel Indigo NYC Downtown – Wall Street and Holiday Inn & Suites Ottawa Kanata.

HILTON GROWS MEXICO FOOTPRINT

Hilton is expanding its presence in Mexico and has signed Canopy by Hilton Guadalajara. Owned by Trust Capital and managed by Hilton, the new-build, 170-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2028. 

Soldiers allegedly beat hotel manager to death

The Nigerian Army has promised to investigate the alleged unprofessional conduct of some of its personnel in the tragic death of a hotel manager in Umuahia, Abia State. The Director, Army Public Relations, Maj.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, gave the assurance in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.

Host agency Fora partners with Michelin's Tablet Hotels

Tablet's curated selection of boutique hotels are now in Fora's portal for travel advisors, who can view rates and availability. Later this year, advisors will be able to book the hotels in the portal, said Fora cofounder and chief product and technology officer Jake Peters.

City Council approves additional funding towards Hotel Topeka

Since the city purchased Hotel Topeka in October, discussion of its future has continued to be a hot topic. Before the City Council meeting, the Topeka Development Corporation met to approve an additional $500 thousand in funding for operational costs of Hotel Topeka. This was then passed to the City Council where a 7-3 vote approved it.
