The Series B round, which brings the total funding of Butler Hospitality – one of PhocusWire’s Hot 25 Startups for 2019 – to $55 million, was led by Shamrock Holdings, Mousse Partners and Maywic Select Investments.

Founded in 2016, Butler Hospitality offers virtual room service by operating restaurants in hotels and delivering to non-service hotels nearby. Its model is designed to take an existing asset – in this case a hotel property - and help monetize and maximize its square footage.

Since launching in New York, the startup has expanded to Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and New Jersey. With the funding, it will add services in Boston, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and plans to service nearly 250,000 rooms in 2022.

Butler Hospitality will also use the funds to launch new dining concepts this winter that will position the company for growth through strategic partnerships with hotel brands such as Hilton, Marriott International, Hyatt and InterContinental Hotels Group.

In July of last year, Butler Hospitality raised $15 million in a Series A round, valuing the business at $85 million.
