Broadwick Soho has also collaborated with its neighbourhood newsagents, Good News on Broadwick Street, for a ‘takeover’ where the hotel has dressed the awnings in Broadwick Soho-style and colours. The 57-bedroom, independent luxury hotel was initially due to open in September 2021, but has faced significant delays. The property has been created by a group of friends and is the first London hotel designed by Martin Brudnizki, of The Wolseley and Annabel’s fame.

For the design, Brudnizki took inspiration from the ‘gritty glamour, but also eclectic and diverse history of Soho’, describing the hotel as “your eccentric grandmother’s Soho townhouse”.

The 57 bedrooms include one penthouse and nine suites with many rooms offering private balconies overlooking the streets.

An announcement of the food and beverage offering at Broadwick Soho is expected shortly.

The Broadwick Soho will also house an authentic Italian restaurant and on the upper floor, a rooftop cocktail bar.

Owner Noel Hayden spent his childhood years living at his family’s hotel in Bournemouth, owned and managed by his mother Jackie and father Noel Snr, a magician.

The hotel saw many years of magic shows and incredible acts, performed by Noel’s father. 35 years later, Broadwick Soho will open as a love letter to Noel’s family and plans to reignite the magic and nostalgia from his childhood.

Broadwick Soho opens in November 2023
