The judges thought that the Grove's customer feedback and engagement was "exemplary" while the award's inspector report scored 98.8%. Winners at the SLH awards, which were held in Marbella recently, are judged on their annual mystery inspector's report score, customer feedback across all platforms and hotel sustainability, the Grove's commitment to which were judged as sincere.
The Small Luxury Hotels group, made up of independently-minded travellers and independently-spirited hotels across the world, judged that the Narberth hotel "exemplifies everything that is great about independent hotels," and was "an inspiration".
As the overall winner from the SLH hotel portfolio, Grove of Narberth was also awarded $2,000 to plant trees with Tree Nation, to start their own forest.
