The Holiday Inn Werribee occupies the top four floor of a new-build property in the western suburb of Melbourne, and features 150 rooms, Rosana Bistro and Bar, a fitness centre and free wifi throughout.

The hotel is located close to attractions including Werribee Open Range Zoo, Werribee Mansion, Victorian State Rose Garden and the National Equestrian Centre, and around 30 minutes’ drive from Melbourne’s central business district.

IHG unveiled new design prototypes for its Holiday Inn brand in 2019, with the concept gradually being rolled out across new and renovated hotels.

Other forthcoming new-build Holiday Inn properties in Australasia include Holiday Inn Remarkables Park in Queenstown, which is scheduled to open in October, and Holiday Inn Melbourne Bourke Street Mall which is slated for 2022.

Commenting on the opening Preston Miskelly, general manager of Holiday Inn Werribee, said:

“Reliably familiar, yet refreshingly different, Holiday inn Werribee is a comfortable and inviting home away from home. Our open lobby with its floor to ceiling windows and amazing views, not only gives our guests a warm and welcoming place to relax, work or socialise, it is also home to our modern restaurant and bar. It is the ideal location to enjoy dinner or drinks with family and friends as you watch the sun go down.”

The best moment of any hotel experience comes just after check-in, and just after the trip in the ornate lift, and just after the handing over of pleasingly heavy-set keys, and just after the bell-hop has escorted your luggage (magicked, it seems, from no-where) up to your room, and — after the long and winding journey to this homing beacon of hospitality — you shut the door behind you and stand alone in your room for the first time.
