International news
British Airways is selling off surplus inflight crockery, glassware and blankets, as well as trolleys from retired B747 aircraft, in an attempt to raise much needed funds.

In a release the carrier said that “For the first time in its history, British Airways has decided to unlock the doors to its warehouse this Christmas to give customers and aviation fans the unique opportunity to get their hands on items from British Airways aircraft which have circled the globe hundreds of times”.

Among the items on sale via whatabuy.co.uk include used first class William Edwards plates, soup bowls, cups, saucers and butter dishes, as well as bread baskets, hot towel plates (and towels themselves), champagne flutes, coasters, Club World casserole dishes, slippers and day blankets.

Fans can even get there hands on aircraft trolleys and canisters from BA’s B747 aircraft, which were retired earlier this year.
