The hotel is housed within the twin-building Jeju Dream Tower, and features rooms starting at 65 sqm, with floor-to-ceiling windows, 75-inch TVs, three-seater sofas and marble bathrooms with double vanity and island bathtubs.

The Grand Club is also Hyatt’s largest club lounge in the region, and offers three social spaces – the Library, Dining Hall and Living Room – with access for suites and Globalist tier members of the World of Hyatt programme.

There are no less than 14 restaurants and bars, including a Chinese hot pot restaurant (Jeju Hot Pot), Korean BBQ eatery Noknamu, the Grand Kitchen buffet restaurant, Yumeyama for Japanese izakaya, sushi and teppanyaki, and Italian outlet Café 8.

Other facilities include an outdoor deck with infinity pool, two spas, eight “residential-style events spaces”, and retail space showcasing over 200 Korean fashion designers and brands.

The hotel is located within walking distance of Jeju Dongmun Market and Nuwemaru Street, and around ten minutes’ drive from Jeju International airport.

The Grand Hyatt Jeju also marks a return to the city for Hyatt – the group previously operated the Hyatt Regency Jeju, which is now known as the Shore Hotel Jeju.

Commenting on the opening, Paul Kwok, general manager and managing director of Grand Hyatt Jeju, said:

“Grand Hyatt Jeju represents the best of modern Korean culture and offers welcoming hospitality, which together with the spectacular surrounding views, bold gastronomy scene and exciting recreational venues, provides exhilarating and memorable experiences.

“Grand Hyatt Jeju reinforces the prestigious Jeju Dream Tower development’s position as the city’s new hotspot and we are grateful to work with the hotel’s ownership company, Lotte Tour Development, and for its trust in Hyatt as we continue our strategic brand growth in Korea with this debut in this fast-emerging leisure destination.”
