The Messenger's Arash Markazi reported The Venetian is gifting a total of $250,000 to hourly employees working this week, and one employee will win a new Tesla Model 3 or $25,000 in cash. But, The Venetian is not alone. Caesars is offering $100,000 in prizes and a drawing for a new BMW X3. The Wynn is giving away $70,000 while also offering enhanced dining menus, chair massages and gift cards. “I don’t think I can go through this every year,” a bartender at The Venetian told Markazi. “I’m just struggling to get through this week with the street closures and traffic. They’re doing everything to get us to come to work during a time when everyone is saying ‘don't come to the Strip unless you have a ticket to the race.’”. Markazi reported that another Strip employee, a cocktail server at The Flamingo, has had her normal 25-minute commute doubled or even tripled due to the road closures and increased traffic.
